When you look at these maps, think of a place, where a deer could eat, drink, and sneak away for a nap. You are looking for acorns, or beech trees, or corn/bean fields, with water nearby, and some thicket not too far away from that. If the thicket is on the side of a hill, or allows them a way to escape, even better. Sit around (off to the side by 50 - 100 yards) of the feed spot, and watch what happens over the course of a day.

If you are a fisherman, take a moment to think about how you fish a river or stream.. Trout will find a place to sit, where there is iittle current, but abundant food moving by. In some ways Deer are similar. Each has a fear of predetors, and a drive to eat. Use those to your advantage. The folks here are very good about how Ohio land forms hold those patterns. But there is no substitute for spending time in a place.

I'll second the Dusty. My wife went to Kent. The "Dirty Amarillo" was my favorite part of visiting her and I don't dance!
