We improved to 2-1 with a solid win over Vemilion on Thursday. We started in the hole when our QB fumbled on a sack and they returned for 94yrds, but our boys responded with 22 unanswered points. Ty had a couple decent runs, and got in on a lot of tackles, 2 of them showing that he is learning to flip the switch. Nothing better right now than seeing the ah-ha moment the first time a player realizes how fun it is to launch/collide at 100% and the feelings that come with it

Last night was our first home game for varsity, and field dedication wirh the Cleveland Browns and Cross Country Mortgage. While the weather didnt cooperate, it was a nice pregame tailgate, team introductions for all sports and a great tribute to Max and his legacy. There was a medical emergency on the visitors sideline, and 1/2 way through max showed up with a double rainbow and quite the painted sky.......chills.

2-2, half way thru the season. Last Thursday they lost to Huron, the fear of God in their eyes at half time trying to stop their big tailback. They went in 0-8 at half, ended 0-30🫤 Films don't lie, and there were a lot of ah-ha moments yesterday lol. Today a couple more stepped up in tackling drills, hopefully it carries thru for Thursday.

Ty had some good runs, struggled blocking, and was scared to tackle. He shows glimpses of aggression, but as a safety he is still not flying up and helping the run game, which makes up 90% of the game at this age. His punts are working out well.

Wow I got to watch one of the best football games I've seen in a VERY LONG time last night.

Dalton was the state runner up last year and is a division higher than Hillsdale, this game is complete with flea flicker, hook and ladder, fake punts, and huge plays made by both teams.

Only 2wks left in the season, it's flying bye! 7th grade currently sits at 3-3 after a big loss to Bellevue last week and a win over Norwalk the week before. It's amazing the size and speed difference of kids at this age, and again between 7-8th grade. Overall the kids are having fun and getting a good dose of what the game is like, from wins/loses and also on the field when they have to learn to gang tackle the big guys, or fight off blockers putting them on their butt play after play. Growth is happening and that's the goal.

The clash of the undefeated local Titans took place last night and we came out on top! Perkins (my alum) came in ranked #1 in D4, we (Edison) were #5 in D5. One heck of a running and defensive heavy game. I expected it to follow suit like last year, a blow out by half time. Perkins has 3 D1 college signed players, and a line that rivals most college sizes. Our coach gambled with MO on their side for the 2pt. conversion and it was enough.......aaahhhhhhh!!!!

Ty and 7th grade team put up a good fight on Thursday against Perkins. We were slow out of the gates and let them get up 16-0 on us, but came out after half and tied it up. A couple big plays thru 3rd and 4th qtqtrfoe their big guy ,#4, let them open it up. This was the most points our team scored all season, with Ty accounting for 2 scores, 1 running and 1 receiving. Tackling continues to be our cryptonite.

Flag football is going well, they are undefeated. Currently winning this game 32-6

Hard to believe but Ty's first year of football is in the books! They finished the season 3-5, definitely looking forward to seeing that improve next year and just getting better at the game all the way around. There were only 3-4 kids that stepped out of their shell this year, with both the game really clicking & tackling w/o hesitation. Ty was not one of them and he knows it. He's decided to wrestle this year to help him continue on his both his mental and physical strength journey.

Our varsity team is still on their roll and things are looking good for a deep playoff run! They're tied for #2 in D V, and if they secure the win Friday they'll go 10-0 for the first time since 1981.

This Friday night should be a great game with 9-0 vs 8-1 for the conference championship AND potentially the first team to ever go 10-0.

Wow, what a game. The game I watched last night easily ranks up there with the '06 OSU vs MI game as one of the best football games I've ever seen.

We came away with the win, onto the first Regional championship in school history.

Hillsdale Reaches First-Ever Final Four with Dominant Win Over Cuyahoga Heights

Orrville, Ohio – The Hillsdale Falcons made school history Friday night, advancing to their first Final Four with a commanding 44-14 victory over Cuyahoga Heights in the regional final. The Falcons showcased a high-powered offense and a stout defense, leaving no doubt about their place among the state’s elite.

The game started with a bang, as quarterback Kale Lewis connected with Hayden McFadden for a 30-yard touchdown pass with 8:18 remaining in the first quarter, putting Hillsdale ahead 7-0. Shortly after, Cuyahoga Heights fumbled on an option play, and Hillsdale capitalized immediately. Owen Sloan, the team’s workhorse all season, punched in a 4-yard touchdown run—his 26th of the year—extending the lead to 14-0 by the end of the first quarter.

Sloan wasn’t done yet. He added another touchdown before the quarter ended, giving Hillsdale a commanding 21-0 lead. Cuyahoga Heights managed to find the end zone early in the second quarter, cutting the deficit to 21-7.

Hillsdale answered emphatically. Lewis fired another touchdown pass, this time to Brock Bower, followed by a successful two-point conversion by Sloan, pushing the score to 29-7. The Falcons carried that momentum into halftime, holding the same lead.

In the third quarter, Hillsdale put the game out of reach. Lewis found McFadden again for a touchdown, and the two-point conversion—a pass from Lewis to Holland Young—was good. With 6:42 left in the third, the Falcons led 37-7, triggering a running clock.

Cuyahoga Heights scored a late touchdown in the fourth quarter, but Hillsdale sealed the win with a rushing touchdown by Kyle Turk, making the final score 44-14.

• Owen Sloan: The bruising back added two touchdowns, bringing his season total to 27, while bulldozing his way through defenders.

Edison lost last night to Liberty Center. They were a big strong team that dominated the line on both sides of the ball and we could never get anything going after coming out of the gates and scoring first. They end their season at 13-1.

Perkins pulled one out over Ontario and will rematch Glenville next Friday, who knocked them out last year.
