Hey guys i'm looking for some land to lease in North East Ohio. I've looked online with little luck, question is does anybody on here have some info where i can look to try to find an available lease.

Base Camp Leasing used to be the go-to source, but I think they've changed their business model, so I don't know how much help it is these days. I would look up the Soil & Water District in any county you want to hunt and they typically have someone on staff who works with local farmers on any number of programs. Give them a call and see what they know as a local. You could also call any of the rural land agents working for Mossy Oak, Whitetail Properties, etc., and see if they're able to help. Worst case, go find properties with OnX or the county auditor's website that you want to explore, and door knock.

Another tactic that I've deployed in the past is sending a cover letter requesting a conversation on the matter and I included a permission slip, self-addressed stamped envelope, and a tri-fold pamphlet that I made explaining who I was. This was for permission only, but if I wanted to lease, I'd include a sample lease agreement and make them an offer. The worst they can say is no or ignore you. You'll get out of the process what you put in that's for sure.

Just out of curiosity where are you located in northeast Ohio and where are you specifically trying to find a lease

Meat or trophy hunting would also help in a cover letter or common chat. People are also more likely to allow you to bow hunt.
I was going to suggest if he is from Semi rural or suburbia (which is a lot of NE Ohio), he attempt to inquire property owners that may have an urban deer problem. Throw a little bit of money at them, next thing you are shooting does out of jr’s tree fort and her flower garden stays unbothered . Don’t ask how I know😉
