Hunting with my boys

Over the past year I have been blessed to have been present with each of my boys as they got their first antlered buck. It is not about the kill, it is about the time I get to spend with them in the blind, on the trips to Ohio, eating meals, working to put out corn, setting up stands, making sure everything is as perfect as it can be so that when the moment comes they have the best possible chance. I thank God for the memories that we are making, and the opportunity to make many more.

23 years later, dad and I still talk about my first hunts and first deer. At least once a year they come up. I wish I had some photos, pretty jealous that you guys do. That's the only thing missing. I have plans on sharing these stories with my kids this weekend. If only I had something to show them... Oh well, they will have to take my word for it. Good stuff man! I'd be sure to get some paper copies of those pics.

I hope to be sharing these stories 20 years from now with my boys and grandkids, good stuff; wish you had pics as well.
