couple buck deers in the back yard this morning. I shot a little one on purpose so I don’t get buck fever and because my freezer was empty. Also have taxidermy I’m not sure what to do with in the new house as it is. Buck tag punched, now I can let my kids shoot these bigger ones around the area if they want. Rick’s got a disabled friend we will most likely let him hunt here too.
Just back to having fun, look at this monster I shot! Lol

I think people underestimate the ground game. I don't even hunt out of stands anymore because I don't get that same thrill. It is INTENSE! Nothing between you but air. Now blind, no elevation. Seriously beating them at their game.
Wind in my face, camo including mask and gloves, sitting on a stool with a wood pile behind me. No smoking or ever calm or even a shower. Just sit there with the right wind and don’t move. None of the deer that night had any clue I was there.

2 small bucks with the one I shot came back to the feeder about 2 hours later.
