But I'm hell on does.
For the third straight year, my Ohio seasons have been: a doe with the bow, a doe with the muzzleloader, close calls on bucks. I got in the stand early on Saturday because the trail cameras had been showing a lot of early movement. So naturally I sat there for over 4 hours before I saw anything other than squirrels and birds. Literally about 90 seconds after I texted my wife "I haven't seen a dang thing yet," I had one on the ground. And, of course, she had to run down into the ravine as a last act of revenge. The ground was muddy and sloppy from the rain Friday night, so getting her up out of here was miserable. The entire drag is uphill, all by hand.
Now the freezer is full, and I added a great tail and some body hair to the drying rack for tying materials. I always try to save some hair from the deer I kill and get as much use from them as I can. Until next year!
