I can't win...

I have two reasons why. Scent being the main reason but also with the wind blowing it makes them more observent to keeping there eyes on the ground. You might even be able to throw in the fact that if its windy it might be blowing up a does puss and spread the fresh smell even better...lol

Cool, now I feel better about Friday. Looks like the wind will be up by 2pm.

Sounds like two good reasons. Worse part about the wind is I will actually have to watch a lot more and not play Angry Birds :smiley_depressive:

I was expecting something more "philosophical" then that. But that works.

It is a little windy out right now...lol... The day I shot mine that morning I actually had to hold on to the tree a couple times...lol... That's no joke

That day was 14mph sustained with gusts up to 25. That morning i tried to stand a couple time to see if i could shoot. Hellz no.. That fenceline i was in was getting POUNDED from that open field.

Same here... I guess I'll put it to the test this evening and the next 3 days. The wind is supposed to be gusty all weekend.

Cotty, it shouldn't be a problem in Jefferson county to hang a stand down below the ridgeline on the downwind side for you. I have stands hung specifically for high wind days and see plenty of deer when the other guys are complaining about the wind.

one of the guys I work with said he was standing at his kitchen window this mroning gettting a drink of water. Looked out in his field behind his house and there was a buck and a doe getting FREAKY!!

JD- Based on your thoughts and findings.....do you think a women bowhunter may have an advantage over her male counterpart within the rut stricken woods?

My wondering mind would like to know.

Only once a month and if she hunted with a loincloth.
