Thanks guys. The mud sucks for sure. The lightweight Irish Setters kick ass in it though. I sleep like a fricking rock at night

I love my Irish Setters too Ryan! They're the lightest pair of boots I've ever owned! The only knock on them I've experienced is the tops are so big around that they make noise slapping agin your calves while walking sometimes. Plus there is no way you'll ever roll your pant legs over the top of them unless you've got a pair of 1960-70 bell bottoms! Lol

Other than that they are extremely light and comfy on long walks thru mud!

Congrats again on your deer buddy!

The buck looks great! The spending time with your buddies sounds even better, congrats man!

This week is always special. Just growing up in Wood county, Gun season was Deer season for us. There wasnt a buwhuntable population when I was a kid. And what we always did, was hunted with family and friends. We do that here too. Every day we have a prepared lunch by one or more of our wives. Then we have a few beers and supper when we are done. Its always cool at the end of the day when our little boys run out the door asking all of us what we got. Just seeing them grabbing the deer and jumping up the the bed of the truck with them is awesome. Cant wait for a couple more years when they are old enough to do all the pushing to us:smiley_bril:. What I am most proud of is our group does it right. I know alot of people dont like deer drives because of all the dribbledicks out there with the "If I can see'em, Im shooting" mentality, but with a few morals and ethical hunters, they are very effective and safe.

Yes, Red's crew is top notch. I was privileged enough to hunt one day of Muzzleloader with them last season. It was my first deer drive and I had a ton of fun and learned a lot about doing it the right way.
