So I have this little piece (approx 25 acres) behind my friend's house... Owners lets guy that let's Dan and Jon hunt his piece where Dan shot his bear, my friend and I hunt it .. I primarily just hunt it for bears, last year being my first year... Last year while bear hunting I noticed a lot of deer up on the ridge feeding on acorns... No one ever hunted this area, why I don't know... So Monday I dumped a bag of corn and hung a camera... Within an hour I had deer on it... Since then I have had deer non stop 24 hrs. a day... I'll bet 15 different bucks, including 3 gorgeous ones for Jersey.... I sent the pics to Pete ( guy that let's Jon and Dan hunt ). He's like... That's the buck I've been after... So he asks where's that camera??? Then he says I'll stay out of there till after bear season.... My response was: I'll move down in the swamp for bears, GET YOUR ASS IN THERE NOW AND GET THAT BUCK WHILE HES THERE 3 TIMES A DAY.... So I'm going Sunday to help him hang a stand.... So during bow season for bears, deer is open so you can shoot a deer... So I said to Pete.... You know what's gonna happen if that deer walks by me..... IM GONNA PASS.... HES YOURS.... He's like..REALLY??? I SAID YUP... NOW GO GET HIM.... There's 3 really nice bucks from what I can tell... One showed up last night with a kicker on his right beam...
