Deceived. Hoodwinked. Tricked.
So this buck has been coming in for months. I've seen him in person several times and have thousands of photos of him. I was checking my Moultrie app the other day while I was at work and saw this sequence of photos. This buck is easily recognizable by his hooked brow tine.
So I'm like awesome, he dropped them right there! No effort required to find those. But then it snowed all afternoon and we ended up with at least a fresh 2" of powder. Naturally, I walked out back when I got home anyway thinking I'd still be able to find them.
Wrong. Nothing. Nada. I assumed they must have been covered in the fresh snow and I just couldn't see them. So I went back the next afternoon with a pitch fork to see if I could rake around a bit and find them.
Again, nothing. So then I check my Moultrie app this morning when I get up...
So a second SHED buck managed to get into the exact spot and identical pose as the first buck, one minute later, and give the illusion that the first buck had shed his antlers.
