Finally got one! I will post a thread with a short story tomorrow.

I did get lucky on the shot. He was facing me for almost 2 minutes and I was waiting for him to turn. He turned so he was slightly quartered away and looked like he might bolt so I took a 20 yard shot and luckily it worked out. He literally went about 3 feet, dropped, kicked once and was done.

Here is a little different angle. I was sitting in a blind and he was uphill from me a little, head up facing me but turned slightly away. The arrow busted through one of his ribs, took out the top of a lung and lodged into his spine. He was dead about 20 seconds after the shot if he made it that long.

Thanks guys. I am absolutely thrilled with this deer and he is a trophy to me.

I believe I do have trail cam pics but I will have to dig around tomorrow.
