If you can swing it, do it Mike. Good luck to everyone. I will be breaking out the 870 and 30 06 for NY gun opener this weekend. Different State, stands, weapons, scenery, etc. may do me some good.

I dunno if Friday morning will work for me, as I need to check the trail cams before I hang. Maybe I will get out and check them Thursday evening. Either way, big deer will fall within the next week or two.

What is considered a slump buster in deer hunting? Back in my single days that would be a butter face or cute, chunky chick. l

120" 8 point with a slight gimp?
 
Good luck...things ought to be breaking loose again soon. I will be chasing duck birds Saturday since thats the North zone opener. If I was still hunting bone I would be hunting hard this weekend
 
We got inventory at work, hopefully wrapping up Sat am - if so I head south for a Sat evening hunt then Sunday and Monday....forecast is calling rain and warm....I wish I could get off thurs fri...oh well, just gotta hope they're movin
 
I am already tore up from this rut. Haven't been to the chiropractor and need to get there. Sleep when I can, and hunt when I can. It is hitting hard in my area finally so I am getting after it as much as possible. Heading back out shortly. I will be out as much as possible. Winds are calm this morning as compared to last night's rain and wind. Hoping they are hard at it this morning and maybe catch a big boy opening a scrape back up or chasing some tail! My only game plan is to hit it every spare moment I have and I can catch up on work later.
 
My plan is going to be try to get into work early on Thursday and Friday and get in the woods in time enough to hunt the evenings then full day sat and sun. Somethings gotta happen, I need some redemption.
 
I'll be hunting this Sat (19) through Sunday the 27th. Makes up for the fact that I've only been hunting one day this year....gonna get cold, gonna get bored, gonna fall asleep in my stand...all the things I didn't get to do the first time around. Can't wait.

Just had a 2.5 year of buck(at least an 8pt) run across the road a hauling it in front of me with my daughter riding shotgun on way to the dr.office. Time was 3:45.

My bro just got word he is finally off his work till after gun season. He is wore out but jacked!
