Isn’t that illegal? Selling wild game. I wonder if that turkey comes with a tag or how that works. Like buying a antler stand from the Amish. That always seemed illegal to me. Game warden rolls in to find sawed off antlers made into furniture. With no tag.

Until a few (10-15) years ago you could donate mounts to a museum and you could deduct all the cost of the hunt: travel, guides, licenses, taxidermy, shipping. The IRS put a stop to that.

I have some mounts from my brother I want to sell. About 6-7 deer, 2 average hogs and a record book Russian hog. Any ideas on how to go about it? Most were bow kills. I have things to remember him by . I don’t have the wall space and none of these were from our property.

you can list taxidermy on Craigslist or Armslist. Baer’s auction (Rogers auction) has a firearms auction every couple months and they have sold taxidermy before. https://baerauctions.com/firearms-auction/
