IIHS tests - full size pickups

I've seen alot of wrecks over the years at work. If you want to make it through unscathed, you need this combination. At least 1 tattoo, the more the better. Marlboro red hanging outta your mouth, covering that case of Natty light you just drank. Dirty wife beater is bonus points.

Seems like the drunk person always lives.

Sounds like that Dodge Neon was bad ass.:smiley_baby:

lol!!

What it all boils down to is everyone should buy a dodge neon, with a spoiler, rims, subwoofer, and fart can. Imma get mine in candy purple.

Anywho, thanks for posting! Definitely is interesting, my BIL is looking for a truck for his family, I'm going to send him that article.

a dodge neon pulled out in front of me in my 2000 Ram 1500, I was going 40mph, his left headlight met the right side of my bumper...and from what insurance company said, bent the frame...definitely could see the bed lifted...so a neon totaled my Ram? You have got to be kidding me!!!

Never bought a dodge after that. and never will.

That would be the test I saw on the IIHS slow motion video. Frontal impact to one side. The structural collapse of the cab to include the doors was shocking compared to the others. I mean you didn't have to be an crash engineer to see how bad it was compared to the others. The test was with a stationary object simulating a pole or a tree. I can imagine what it would have looked like in a head on with a vehicle traveling at the same rate of speed. I drive a lot of two lane roads where that is likely to be the most common impact. No thanks.

Saw the testing on the news this morning... Damn... I never was a dodge guy and had fords up to 2004 and went to Chevys... Now I have the Tundra and although it wasn't as good as the ford... It was a hell of a lot better then the dodge...
Say what you want about fords but they had their shit together on this model... So much for complaining about that aluminum body....
