Make sure you bring us along virtually! Also a good place to keep a log. Might need that to put together information over the years. There is a section here for that. Use it if you want! Feel free to share your hunts up that way too.

Yup how it is here also they walk in on people even if they know you are in there but here in maine we don’t have much public land so that’s a huge part. We are going to be out there from oct 25-nov-2 only dates we could go since my buddy’s family will be in Florida that week so we are coming out there
I only bow hunted it a few times the day before gun, gun week my camp had a ball and we had success. If I were to go back right now I would consider the CRP fields that transition from the timber, feel like those areas are definitely over looked and left alone during archery for several reasons.

If you can get out early season, the southeastern side of Salt Fork off of slasor rd has some great deer that transition off and on of public and private land. I’m not going to tell you what tree to sit but if you’re thinking southeastern ohio, that’s a great piece of public to hit.

MBH My farm's in Coshocton County and there are some well known and lessor known public land spots in that county as well counties to the East South and West. Might want to try going to the GIS site, OHIO DNR GIS SITE to get a good overview of all the areas and use Google earth to see historical imagery for clear-cuts/ adjoining private land ag and food sources; also GE can give you an idea on how the terrain will be. Saw @Knelly put up some AEP lands, that link is here: AEP Lands and are included in the ODNR GIS area as well.

Used to live in NH when stationed at Hanscom AFB.. New England was a favorite for us.

Where are you looking into hunting at, what public areas
I honestly don’t know the name of it we was looking at a chunk of land by conesville just says state of Ohio and also says Ohio Franklin realty llc not sure if that’s public but my spartan forage apps is saying it is but I don’t 100% trust it

If you’re staying in Coshocton, you can check out Conesville Hunting Area. When we used to hunt private land next to it, we seldom seen many hunters hunting the public side.
I just responded to someone saying we was looking at this area now is it labeled where we can park for access

I think the Ohio Franklin Really land is related to what used to be called American Electric Power (AEP) land - power company land that's open to hunting if you download and sign a permission slip. Very much worth checking in to. The AEP land down near Athens where I hunt during our Strouds get together used to be called AEP on Onx, then Ohio Franklin Realty, now says both that and Columbus and Southern Ohio Power.
