Treeline Seat

Not sure what you guys are trying to say. Treelines seats looks nothing like the Millennium seat. lol

Apparently comparing them to millennium has somehow struck a nerve. Not sure why. I like the millennium seat and think its the seat to have on any stand. And I've been waiting on another company to put the seat on a stand. Not sure why they got all jumpy when someone pointed it out as a positive.

I think they were referring to the new Millennium. Either way, it is a seat, yeah they look alike, but so what. At least you know it is comfy!

Here is the new Millennium stands.

It was sarcasm flutey.. lol.. They look exatly like the Millennium seat.

For my style of hunting, i would not consider that type of seat. They both look very uncomfortable. For me..the sling seat is the best way to go..It cradles you and allows you to doze off if need be. When i sit 12 hours day after day, I need a seat that will allow me to sleep if'n i get tired. I saw a sling seat loc-on style treestand at Dicks sporting goods...Cant remeber the name tho..but i would def. use that one in the loc on style along with my summit vipor.

Being able to take naps throughout the day is the key for long sits.

sleeping through an all day sit kind of ruins the point of sitting all day.

When you get a few years under your belt, you'll get pretty good at sleeping with one eye open. I almost always take a little cat nap around 2 oclock on those all day sits. :)

When I doze off in the stand, it seems I still hear things. I've never fully fallen asleep on stand except when I'm in a blind with someone else. Nothing like being half asleep and hearing a squirrel and thinking: DEER! lmao

Yep..Ya gotta take little cat naps or you will go insane. I think most folks wont sit all day becasue they arent set up for it..Ya gotta beable to doze off ..However..like jbrown & jesse said..The slightest noise will wake you up. If im in a treestand ,i cant sleep in, i wont beable to sit all day.

A comfy treestand is an ingredient for big bucks. :)

btw..I also use a tree lounge but im sure some of younger folks wont know what that is...Thats like having a recliner in a tree.

Tree lounger=pain in the butt to setup, but comfy.

Mountaineer- You are correct. Sling style seats are a great second choice. Take it from a guy that sells tree stands and has tried a bunch of them. However, as the owner of a Summit Climber and a Millenium, you are missing out by not giving the Millenium a chance. They are darn comfy! I would say the Millenium, the Summit climber, would be 1/2, followed by the Rivers Edge stands with sling seats.

Sling seats and seats with side rails are the way to go for me. Can't believe the platform on this stand would be quiet on a cold frosty morning when you have dirt stuck in your boots.

I don't doubt it. Tough to pull a bow back though isn't it? Tough to get in/out of the deep timber? I am sure it has it's place. I have never heard anyone say anything bad about their comfort.

Hicks,,

The way it set up here is for gun hunting. There is an additional platform that attaches so i can stand up for a Bow shot. As far as packing in..well..the stand retracts from the position you see. In otherwords.. its telescopic. When it is all retracted in, its rather small.

I use this stand and my summit vipor for long sits..This stand has been with me since about 1996. Cant beat it.

Hicks..Are you sayin a fellow could actually doze off in the millenium without fallin out? The Tree lounge and my summit cradle me in..its like im in a nest. Cant fall out when im sawin wood.

Not what I am saying. You can fall out of ANY stand. However, I can tell you I know a guy that is co-owner of a website, that tends to sleep in his stands on occasion, that has probably even been hung over in the stand before that hasn't fallen out of one. . . .lmao I wouldn't recommend anyone sleeping in a stand though.
