Here are a few pics from this evening. My friend who shot the other 10 point is my trapping 'mentor'. That boy can catch some shit!!!
Season ends out here next Tuesday, the 10th. I have 2 doe tags left and my daughter still has a tag, so I may head out again if she wants to go this weekend.
And yea Giles - the wife won't be happy with the taxi bill this year....
Good luck to all who are still chasing!!!

Couple of real nice deer!

Side note: you mentioned changing bullets from the SST to something else. For blood trails, I think is what you said. What did you change to again? Do you have any pics of the entrance and exit (if it had an exit)?

I switched from TC 250 grain Shockwaves to Barnes 290 grain TMZ and have been more than pleased. I also had a few friends who switched to them and they too have been very satisfied. I didn't take any pics of the entrance/exit, but did take a video of the 2 blood trails from the does I shot last month. It was too dark for the buck I shot, but it did let out lots of blood on him. I don't know how to post a video but can text them to you if you shoot me your cell #.

Looking at the first video, the right front shoulder looks like it's got about 5 fragment holes in it.... How'd the shoulder look after you skinned her out???

Second doe showed no signs of it....

There was no fragmentation. The quality of the uploaded video is not the best. The shots were quartering away and both opposite shoulders were broken. And no exit holes.

Nice.... That is a hell of a blood trail.... How was the grouping on the TMZ's when you sighted vs the shockwaves???

I really didn't notice any difference in accuracy between them. I ain't no sharpshooter but average about a 2 inch group at 100yds with either. The TMZs expand really well seems to be the difference. U can also get an attachment for the end of your ramrod to avoid deforming the tip of the sabot to improve accuracy.

Looked them up and midway had them both on sale...

If I made the move I'd probably go with the 250's....
