In your writeup you were pretty hard on yourself, but from what I see you did everything right with a correct attitude, and finally put it down. Solid hunt. Not everything is like TV. Congrats on a great time with your buddies!

I finally got around to getting this guy out of the freezer and doing the Euro last night. I tried something a little different with the bleaching this time and I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out.
Thanks! In the past I have used 40 volume hydrogen peroxide and powder hair bleach. I would mix it up and “paste” it on the skull and let it sit for a day, rinse and repeat. This time around, after the degreasing boil, I added the peroxide directly to a fresh batch of water and boiled. Seems to have done the trick and turned what normally takes me a few day into something that only took a few hours. I still might touch up a few areas with the paste but, overall, I’m good with it
I like it! I don't like the 100% bleached white look and prefer a "dirtier" finish to a Euro. Looks great brother.
