Well I arrived early for the interview, crushed the Mechanical test. However, the actual interview revealed that I am not who they are looking for and this is not a position I am looking for. I told them to definitely keep my resume and pass it on to the Engineering department. Thanks for the well wishes.

Well sorry it didn't work out, but all things happen for a reason. Sounds like you weren't supposed to have it because there's a better one out there.

Sounds like it was still a positive experience. Better to learn that beforehand than after you accepted the job. Good luck finding something that fits you.

If the test and interview went well that should give you an edge if they ever have a position better suited to you. Good luck moving forward.

I am with Sam on his thoughts. Should serve you well moving forward with that company. Sounds like you have a good outlook towards things. Hopefully the right job comes along for you Dustin.

The result looks like it came out for the best. Best to know now than later. Good luck in the future.

I definitely think it got my foot in the door. I sent a follow up email thanking them for their time and reminded them to pass my resume along.
