I haven't hunted much by myself just been taking the kids. Might get out by myself Saturday evening for a bit. But will prolly have the kids with me everyday til my vacation the second week of November. Have some new bucks showing and some familiar bucks still around. I've pretty much struck out everywhere I've taken the kids lately I've been skunked or we have been in the wrong spot.

I actually have less fun when I'm by myself. I have figured out tho that it's a pain to take both at the same time they do pretty good if they have something to keep them busy, but the aggravate the shit out of each other Cooper knows just what buttons to push to get her pissy. If I never shoot another deer I'm fine with that as long as they get a chance to.

Well boys always trust your gut. Me and savannah hunted this blind Thursday night and I knew we had to come back or that I should of went by myself but I took Cooper last night behind the house. What I kick in the nuts.

We're about to turn it up a notch around here gonna make some aggressive moves this weekend. Lots of bucks hitting the scrapes and moving around in different areas. I'm gonna be hunting with the kids mostly until mid week mext week then I'm off til the 16th. I'll be hunting here then headed to kentucky for the rifle opener on the 14th. I think I'm gonna get out tonight will be by myself the kids are going to their aunts in Ashland to trick or treat with their cousins.

A little update from me since the kids both have their buck tags filled I've hit the woods this past week. My buddies were up from Tennessee so I spent some time helping them get on deer. But I'm starting to feel the rut is overrated. They seen some deer and I had a shit week until Thursday morning I finally got a good one in front of me but he hung out 50 yards to far. Thursday night me and my brother drove to kentcuky to chase the cold front and be there for the gun opener Saturday. Friday morning I passed a big half rack and didn't see another buck the rest of the weekend. My brother had one of the big ones come out Saturday night and he didn't squeeze the trigger because he said the deer never stopped running around the field and it was to dark to take that shot. We fought 30 mph winds down there all weekend. My other brother is headed there Wednesday and our buddy from Tennessee is headed there too. No doubt they will kill before I get back that way. All of our cams showed good bucks on them today thays the way its been for me all season. They are their when I'm not.

A few updates since the rut I've hunted quite a bit, gun week was slow for me but we did manage to knock a few down. I've still got my cams rolling and have been getting some bucks showing back up now. I'm off work with covid right now luckily it hasn't been to bad so I've been able to get out and check a few cams to get ready for this weekend. My cousin and the guys from Tennessee were able to drop bucks gun week. Here's some pics of the deer we have shot this year so far.
