As soon as I got home tonight cooper met me at the door with are we going out tonight. I really didnt have plans to go but I looked at the radar and it showed about a 3 hour break before the next bit of rain got to us. So hoped in the shower and we headed out. I told cooper one of the bucks was in there early this morning and I figured he was gonna daylight before the rain came back. We had a doe work in about 645 and she was locked on to something coming out of the thicket and it wasn't long til he was standing I front of us at 20 yards. I got cooper calmed down and he made what I thought was a perfect shot we waited 30 min and there was blood everywhere, I noticed it was a little darker than I originally thought so we backed out and waited for help once we got back on the trail he wasn't far but im glad we did wait ended up getting back side of one lung and liver. Even though the bolt looks like its exactly where it needed to be. I guess he was quartered to just a touch. Same blind he shot his buck out of last year. Now savannah is up. Then ill see if I can find any stragglers left for me.
