Kid friendly meals

I love tuna casserole. But I also love Chicken casserole made the same way, but I add a bunch of Franks Red Hot and use Ritz for the topping

I love it also, when ever I was on the road for an extended period of time, that was my welcome home meal. Kids ate as did the wife, but they weren’t fans of it like I was lol

I like the ritz cracker twist on it too...

Oh now there's an idea for it! I'll have to make a batch one of these days with that and the Ritz.

@Jamie when you get a chance do you think you could share that ranch recipe? I didn’t realize how much I liked homemade ranch till I was at Texas Roadhouse last weekend. What a difference!

Home made chicken pot pie is a recent favorite of mine. Idk how the woman does it but it's awesome. And she struggles with the microwave so it can't be that hard.
Shepherds pie is an all time favorite. Consists of a bottom layer of half burger, half sausage(cheapest roll you can find, trust me) combine meat with mushroom soup and some mix. Cover with mashed taters, cheese on top and bake. Gmas recipe

Now we know what she can cook while I’m there! 😂

Nancy is a baker first and foremost. she measures everything very carefully all the time. me, not so much. I tend to eyeball as much as I can due to sheer laziness on my part. here you go.

1 cup Mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 tsp dried chive
1/2 tsp dried parsley
1/2 tsp dried dill
1/4 tsp granulated garlic or powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/8 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
buttermilk

mix everything together, add buttermilk to get the consistency that you desire. adjust whatever herbs and spices to your own taste. is best to make it in advance and chill, giving all the herbs a chance to get happy together. we've made it with all fresh herbs and garlic, and it is a lot more work and tasted no different to us.

I'm having BLT's tonight with a side of left over green beans/potatoes/ham and some fresh sautéed Chanterelles. home made bacon. :D

"Eat like a grown up or go to bed hungry" night here this evening. She devoured it.
