I haven't fished Kiser Lake in 3 years and decided to fish it today. Wow! Nearly 3/4s of the lake is covered in weeds. 
The state needs to run a hydro weed combine through that lake and soon. The water quality in general looks poor. 
There are small (bait fish) out in the middle of the lake, which are typically closer to the shoreline. In past years, I've had no problems catching decent sized crappie, largemouth bass and bluegills. None of that happening during this trip. 
This little 5" stripped bass, must have been in beast mode, when he hit this 3" Rebel crank bait.
(The only fish I caught.)
