Damn! This thread is proof positive that if your season opens early like Kentucky's does, you can still kill a mature buck in his prerut feeding pattern. Not taking anything away from any of these hunters because they still had to make the shot and capitalize on the opportunity. You still have to hunt smart and slip in without busting anything and hunt the wind. Just adding to what Carpn said earlier. Many if not all of these bucks were prolly just about to change their patterns and /or go nocturnal very soon!
