It was great to meet Stacey, Adam, and Owen after hearing years of deer camp stories from Ric n Ron. Great group of guys!
That visor is 15yrs young, birth'd from The Perch Classic Memorial Tournament for our childhood best friends dad when he passed. It was free and has a ton of sentimental value, along with a strong history of putting fish in the boat. These days I only break her out for special occasions and laughs.
But it was Chad's lucky pretzels and a couple quick turns and bumps in speed by 0.1-0.3mph that got em to bite yesterday. There was plenty of superstition on the boat and no bananas (I had to ensure that Ric didn't sneak one on board to play with)
Had a group of Wisconsin guys the last 2 days. Yesterday we were doing good and got blown off the lake early but landed some nice fish including this 29 incher.
Today we went out in the cold conditions ahead of this winter storm. I had a feeling they would be chomping at the crankbaits...and they were. We got their 5 man limit. Found a pocket of fish and caught our last 20 fish in a quarter mile area. Had 114 lbs for 30 fish.
