I remember lice checks back in the day. Creeps me out to think about something laying eggs in my hair. Or at least what's left of it!!!

We went through a bunch of lice scares when my chick taught pre school up in perry county. She'd have me 'de licing' the house all the damn time. She can b a bit of a 'over reactor'. lol. Glad those days are over

About 35 yrs ago my 3 kids and 3 nieces got lice down at Friendship, IN at the ML shoot. My BIL got so anal he burnt all the bedding in his house. Including my wife's grandfathers feather comfortor. I'm still pissed about that.
I still get cold some nights thing about that lose.

My kids caught 'em once at school way back in the day. Cleaning the kids up is no problem....the real pain in the ass is doing all the bedding/clothes/etc etc.
THAT'S what pisses me off.

Don't be too judgmental of someone who's kid picks up lice (or the kid either)....be judgmental of the lazyass douchebags who don't do anything about it.

Lice is prevalent in schools anymore. My daughter came home with it and we put everything in the sanitary cycle on our washer. I itched for weeks.

I know.. But you know there are kids whose parents don't do anything about it.. The "carriers" if you will. That's why schools stopped checking, The dirty ones never get rid of it. I'd be the first to bust them out. ughhh. Another reason my kids will never go to public school.

I homeschooled my 4, plus my nephew, each through the 7th grade. (I kept ZJ home always) I put them in the little country school where we live when each of them got to be 8th grade.

Gave them a year to adjust to it before permanent report cards were kept.

They did great in 8th grade, good grades, etc. By 9th grade, they figured out public school was for socializing, not learning. :smiley_blackeye:
