They weren’t as energy efficient as todays models but they were built to run a looooong time.
We sold the original that was placed in the first building built on the property back in the mid 60's. I think last year or the year before, and I'm sure we have plenty of pictures of it someplace/ The wife did the selling advertisement, and I think it sold that day when advertised. The guy came and picked it up right away too. We simply replaced it with the one that was in the house, which it's a frigidaire 70's model
Yes, they were built to last, and yes, not efficient on the electric bill, I think it cost me 15 -20 bucks more a month with the old unit alone on average back then. I also have the orginal stove too in the cabin. Not sure how old it is, but it's gas and works like a charm still.
