I hope like heck you find him. I've seen it both ways on those hits. My father in law did same thing and we jumped his deer for 6 straight hours trying to keep it bleeding. We eventually recovered him the following morning. We've left them go only to jump them later after they healed up and never seen them after. My buddy hit one in a low brisket shot with a 12 guage last year. Same style blood, and the deer bedded within 200 yards. We let him go for 2 hours before going in after him. Then we jumped him and tracked him for a couple miles before he was able to finish him off
