Big difference, you’re just anal about killing bugs all the time. I’m trying to keep them off me. Yeah kinda the same but your treating the neighborhood, I’m treating for me
Let’s just say the blind hog found an acorn. Got to my buddy’s place and woke up this morning to 47 degrees and clear sky’s. Walked in the woods down a trail and set up near a food plot. Day begun to break and gobbles soon followed every noise. Long story short, heard about 4 different toms w 2 being close. They weren’t together and both didn’t want to play and ended up going past me.
Around 4 I walked back in and sat down at the same tree. Around 5 I had a tom gobble about 300 yards in the bottom. Few minutes later I did some yelps and not getting a reply. 30 minutes later I look to my right and a tom is 30 yards away looking at me head held high. I’m not ready and the tom knows something might be up. I freeze as he stood there for 5 minutes not moving. Then he starts feeding in the woods offering no shot but did give me and opportunity to pick up my gun and slowly shoulder and turn and wait for a clear shot. Seemed like 20 minutes but was probably about 4-5 minutes and I pulled the trigger. I got my first turkey for the year.
