Got on that tom again but he was on edge of property. Won’t answer and I was able to get close then he shut up. Probably seen me but don’t know how. He wine again. Went back out for the evening, never heard or seen one. Today went to the boundary to start. A place I’ve never sat since hunting the place. Heard only one about 800 yards away and too much crap between us. We left around 9 and got home. Fucker showed up on the food plot.
Possed for the camera. Mfer but I think I have a pattern on him. Every hunt I’ve made and never heard and a tom shows up in the evening. But I’m tired of deer hunting them.
Next Saturday Louisiana season opens w 60-75 chance of rain opening weekend. Not really that upset about it. Should deter some weekend warriors. Season is only 9 days and private has 16 days. Waiting for the day my property holds some in the spring. Since 2007 I have even seen or gotten a pic of a turkey till last year and year before during deer season. Only a matter of time as some of my woods are starting to open up instead of a solid thicket of bedding area.
