I seen 12 tonight. Redneckfucker took a poke and had a misfire. It happened while sighting in as well, I think his powder got wet somewhere along the line. Just isn’t “banging” like it should.

One of the bucks I seen had dropped an antler. It’s that time of year gents!

Easy to track and see blood in the snow. I’d think you would’ve noticed if you did more then graze him.

That would be my thoughts as well. If you did some walking and looking, I'd think you would have found some blood. If you had hair in two spots like it was a pass thru I would put even more time in. Always possible you had a high hit that didn't leak any blood right away though.

Big clump of white fur, I think he grazed the bottom. You could be right though. Hard to say without seeing what all happened.

What’d the deer do when you shot? Or could you only see smoke?

Bottom or possibly brisket. He didn't mention two chunks of fur on the ground either. Shooting uphill or downhill? From a stand or ground? If in close and shot from a treestand I could see one chunk of belly fur. I believe he said it was a bit of a poke though. Likely not an exit hole chunk of fur.

I could only see smoke then he ran off. Only hair in one area so I don’t think it was a pass through. I looked for about an hour and didn’t see any blood.

Ok shot was about 160 across a creek bottom, slightly down hill.

I could follow his track by the tore up snow, it is thin so leaves are doing through so not real easy to track. A tracking dog would be great. Hint hint

Without being there it's tough say . But I've seen more than one ML shot deer not bleed at all . On average they just don't bleed as good from a ML as with other weapons .
Grazing wounds usually have a bunch of hair on the ground .
I'd expect one clump of hair at that range as I highly doubt you would have gotten thru the other side of him.

I disagree on the obvious sign of blood. I’ve seen too many times where, even in snow, them bastards don’t bleed right away. I’d for sure give it a good look around today.
Maybe not right away but he did say he tracked for a ways. Should of been some kind of sign along the way.

Seen 6 does so far but one/two mature does started blowing for god knows why. Good wind, smoked up before, no way they saw me. Must have been something they didn’t like.

Puts a damper on expectations for the rest of the evening, we will see

Stay focused. I had a doe blow 25 minutes before I killed Crabapple in 2015, he still came out into the field.
