I plan on killing one deer this year. Just need enough for the freezer to make it thru the year. I'm ready to send it and end it. Buck only. I'd take a nice doe during gun season if no buck by then. Be sorta nice to be done before it gets cold. Lol

Good luck Phil. I'm pretty much the same way .... just one deer will do it. I just happen to like cold weather, so plenty of time.
Ended up seeing ten, 2 shooters and one that would tempt me.

I'm in, rain forecasted to move in around 11:30......here deer deer deer.
I just got back from our local carryout and I just seen 6 deer on their feet in the middle of a cut soybean field, not even 400 yards from where I'm sitting right now.
But, I'm staying by the fire this morning...

It was raining @5 and hasn’t let up yet. I ain’t trying to chase blood in the rain. Tomorrow brings another chance to shed blood. I plan to try and find an active scrape line.
Fuck the weather people. Rain gonna move in after 10, my ass. Been raining on me since 7. Light rain and sprinkles, but it’s picking up now. Did not see any deer until 10 yesterday. Morning. Probably pack it up before 10 if it rains any harder. But the wind is good.

Looked at the weather this morning and poured myself another cup of coffee. Cant do a thing with an east wind in the morning, and I've lost too many blood trails because of rain to even consider it. I did get out and drive around to see if anything is moving, saw 1 deer in about 8 miles of driving. I'm confident I made the right decision. Tomorrow is another day
Brewed a batch of beer today. Looked at the radar 11 times, hoping the front would move through quicker, thus keeping it nice tomorrow. Gonna be windy, I think.
Snuck out back to kill time after the buckeyes game, didn't take anything with me but binos, my bow and a beer. Naturally I see this...
