Had a red fox cone through, I watched him for a bit until he got into the thick stuff. A few minutes later I hear crashing and a deer blew out. Damn that fox.

Ended up seeing 13 deer, 3 were bucks. No shots, back at it in a couple days for evening hunts after work.

Evenings have been painfully slow all month. Mornings have had lots of action. Probably didn't help that some guy down the hollow was preparing for WW3. Only saw the same 2 year old with the messed up right side.

Hunted this morning after climbing up 20 minutes before shooting light then climbed out at 10. Had 2 small bucks,2 does and a little one all within bow range during that span. No rutting action just meandering back to their beds for the day around 7:15-8.
Went to my other spot this afternoon and climbed up about 2:40 and hunted till dark. Saw 5 antlerless(one might have been a bb) from 4:50- dark with 2 giving me shot ops. Not a buck anywhere in sight. I imagine about the time I got to the truck the action started back up.
Well, I hunted hard the past 3 days and it’s back to work. I’ll hit it hard again next weekend. Good luck to those lucky enough to keep at it.

Day 17 of 18. Still no shooters but a couple of possible cull bucks. Trying a stand that hasn’t produced. Cams showed lots of daylight movement from January until August but came to a halt after that. Not sure how they get from one area to another without passing through so maybe I will learn something today.

Back in the killing tree. Got a goo fan on the ridge over where I collected my bow buck. I’m getting tired and burnt out at this point from hitting it hard since last Monday. The struggle is real just to get out of bed. Not sure what my goal for today is, might drop an age bracket and get some rest lol. Good luck fuggars.

7 deer so far. 2 yr old 8, spike and does.

Nothing so far. I’m learning to avoid this stand. It makes no sense. I’m on a little ridge top. Small timbered hollow in front. Timbered hillside behind me. Food sources 200 yards up and down ridge to go with acorns and abundant browse. The nut gatherers are fat and happy.

Sitting all day. Probly last all day hunt 4 awhile. Hope 2day is the day. So far nothing but squirrels

Got in at about 8. Had something snort while i was getting settled in the tree. Squirrels are my current company.

Deer going everywhere. That 2-3 yr old tearing it up. Could’ve shot him several times. If he comes over to my ridge it will be decision time. Not much for a rack.

Just had 2 does at 20 yards not like something, snort and trot off. Small 8 point about 5 minutes behind them, had no reaction downwind of me for the last ten minutes.
