Well, I could not stand it any longer after seeing Mike's freaking awesome buck harvest today so, I'm back in the stand for the rest of the day.

Babysitter came through for me today. I’m getting out later than I want, but one last sit before knee surgery tomorrow. This hunt is costing me $50 in sitter fees, but worth every penny.

I’ve been in since 2:00. First sit in this stand. Location is excellent. Tree sucks. Only one really available. The stand doesn’t fit it well and pops at times. A Southwest wind would work great. This south wind is bad. A tree 20-25 yards due East would be perfect but that won’t happen in my lifetime.

In. Wind is perfect for this stand. Sun is cooking me, but it feels deery. Right on the corner of woods with cut corn in front of me and standing corn behind. Only issue is this tree makes me shoot offhand if I want to stay seated

Red tailed hawk just buzzed the pile....doves, song birds and squirrels exploded in every direction. No casualties to report.
