Cool view tonight. I walked a grassy creek bottom to a single mulberry tree corn on both sides. Climbed on up. Had a six pt walk the ditch bottom directly below me coulda speared him. I'm going to be extremely sore tomorrow being all twisted up sitting on tiny branches. Definitely not 20 anymore. Congrats on the meat Dave.

I’ve sat 7 times now and have only seen 3 total deer in the daylight. 2 nice does and 1 fawn but all more than 100 yards plus. I’m sitting off the edge of harvested corn and second stand between harvested corn and standing corn with a small strip of woods and creek. Loads of deer activity but all nocturnal. Anyone else having the same issues? It’s my first season at this new farm and I’m becoming discouraged. Really praying rut turns things around.

My back is wrenched from sitting in that tree fork almost took the day off work to recover. I don't know how I did shit like that when I was younger. I think I lost my wallet shimmying down that tree.

Sitting in a transition area that leads to bedding cover, sandwiched between two small corn fields. I’ve been waiting for a North wind to slip in here. I couldn’t hunt yesterday morning and of course a nice buck rolls through in shooting light. Welp, here I am now. I’m not super thrilled with the tree I chose this morning but it’s not too bad. For my first sit of the season, I’ll take it. Just feels good to be out and knocking the dust off. Nothing here yet... gonna give it another few minutes and pull the plug.
