I drive from Westerville to powell right now. Been seeing lots of action but that was the first rutting I've seen here. These bucks were in that pasture under the power lines, just south of the park.
If only the cost of land in the area was <$70,000/acre. And they need to stop building. We're going to run out of places to hunt between developers and Karens who want some sense of country life but not all the things that come with it. I always tell myself, at some point, they've got to stop building. And next thing you know, BOOM, another development.

@8:20 a.m. I had my best buck ecounter to date @30yrds. broadside, but obstructed with too many tree limbs between us. It looked like THUNDER, but I'm not totally sure. I watched him go right under another setup of mine to a thick bedding area.

Other than that, super slow morning.

Getting down shortly.

Good luck to whomever is still at it this morning.

Yup...currently standing where the woods used to be behind the strip mall on 750 and Grace.

Jesus! Set your camera on video mode and set it up just right so it can video you jumping out on his back and see how long you can stay on.
I worked with a guy once that was building a spear to drop on one. It was so heavy it didn’t need a point.
I hit the grunt and they come to the base of the tree. Gotta have a little fun since I only have the JV team.

I dunno. I had the dog out & in the woodlot next to us & I could hear some branches breaking or being roused about. I could also hear heavy hoof steps perhaps. I hurried the dog back in & grabbed some gear & am sitting at the edge of the shed

. Lot of odd sounds. Some heavy guttural breathing , more walking about. I had a pic of a doe running in here about 50 min ago. This is where those bucks went earlier. Set up with the ghost blind .... I tried a few grunts here & there, no results yet.

Snort wheeze! That may entice him your way. Seriously, I've see it work many times. But, I am basing it on bucks I could actually see.
