OOHHHHHH. PSA FROM DUMB FIREMAN!
SHOOT YOUR BOWS WHEN NOT HUNTING. I bumped my sight a few times the last week, it's pretty solid so didn't think anything of it. Shot yesterday since it's warm in the PM. First groups at 20 were like 2-3" left. Hmmmmm. Went back to 40...6" left. Damnit. Shot again. And again. And again. Same results. Fixed sight. Shooting great again. I just know I'm probably not the only one to get complacent with shooting during the season. Here's my 40 yards group after the fix.

7 already! 3 while walking in to the SE that I bumped in the alfalfa field already, one that stopped at my best field shooting lane to the West, then 3 antlerless to the North. All within bow range.

The one that stopped at my field shooting lane was a decent 8 @6:26 and then he came back through 15 mintutes later, still with his nose to the ground. I got a not so good photo of him. I continued to watch him head SE, then do East towards the back of the alfalfa field, and finally out of sight.

The PLB scrape looks like someone took a shovel to it. It exploded overnight!

I'll be swapping out the SD cards at both of them after this morning's hunt.

They were on thier feet early. A fun & exciting start!

Good luck to whomever is hunting this morning!

Just had an encounter with a shooter. Came from my downwind side and cut across the field to hit two scrapes. Ignored the four does in front of me. I grunted then he came to check them out from 60 yards away. They split then he turned the opposite way so I snort wheezed and he turned around, slowly making his way back across the creek thinking about trying to get back around me downwind. I don’t think he was convinced totally since he had just come from a spot where he would’ve smelled the other buck. He is still close but I think he went to bed. He didn’t show a ton of interest in the four does, just a long stare.
