Right after my last post I saw 3 deer in the crp field on the other side of the fence row. Could tell one was a buck but couldn't tell how big. I figured if nanny doe got to within range she would get it. Just as I figured she and her compadres made to my end of the field just at legal shooting light. Right after I had put my arrow into the quiver and grab my string I see a big body silhouette coming around the corner of the cup. This is just how I planned this playing out for this setup, just not this late. Got to watch the big 8 from Sunday evening walk by broadside at 20 yds.

At least I know he's still alive.

The wife had an eventful night. Passed a couple small bucks and saw the big 8 again. She had him at 30 yards but didn’t have a shot. It’s the 3rd time she’s seen him in 3 days. Hoping he slips up tomorrow for her!

Aside from the two does and two fawns seen this morning...the rest of the day was uneventful until a four point came out about an hour after dark. The four point is on camera every night but have zero daylight pics of him and he usually hangs around with the big one I’m after. Here is a pic of the four point....

sooooo...I get out at dark and travel back to the hotel. About the time I’m pulling into the parking lot, guess who shows up at my stand?! Missed him by an hour and fifteen minutes. Hoping that because the four point showed up in daylight, his buddy will do the same. Here’s the pics of him from tonight....

I'd knock on some doors around u. Some of the sections look awsome around there. I wouldn't give up if that's all u have anything can happen but hunting one line of cover can make for a long season. That same farmer probably owns better farms even if it's only field ground with fence rows or ditches you could hunt even if it's not timber (ask for places like this if you are getting no for prime ground) . It'd be hard hunting or staying positive if that's all u have to hunt from your aerial pic earlier. I find farmers I've got a lot of "noes" from due to family or other hunters on prime ground will often give me permission for a fence line or ditch if I give an exact locations. If I sit by that tree ect......just throwing that out there since your not happy with your current situation.

Was surrounded by 6 deer I wasn’t able to get out. Perfect timing the owner Driving the golf cart by his house and the property next to me all the way down somebody out with atv ...I’m thinking one of them picking up dead deer so I hurried up out of there quickly

Should’ve said four point came out an hour BEFORE dark...not after. Time stamp shows actual time he came out. Big boy came out after dark.

Yep. Y'all guessed. Pooped, showered, shaved a bit, cut my hair, etc.... [emoji1787] At this point gotta break out all the stops. I've sat every day for the last 10 days and it's been a fight. Just gotta keep chugging along. Good luck to all my men in the same spot! Rut is on! Just gotta run past ya! I want to see some kill pics!
