Just got down. Soaked and frozen. Definitely getting a blind next year. Had 2 does with 5 yearlings pass through getting tailed by a 1.5 year old scrub buck. Wish the does didnt have yearlings with them.

Walked a 1/2 mile to help my colorblind neighbor look no hair no blood no sign of a running hurt deer miss I'd say. I met a buck running in my direction out half way , little guy could of shot at. At least I saw a deer.

Just checked my flag that I hung first thing upon arrival.

Yep, wind is still coming from the N-NW, and fairly steady still.

Snow tappered off and now back to rain. Hope it goes back to snow soon and stays that way.

Ate a big lunch warmed up and dried out by the wood stove recipe for failure about down for the count!!!! Wife will be home in 20. I'll take a ride to see if anybody is even out base where to sit on other hunters.

Days like today make me really appreciate high quality gear. Warm dry and comfortable up in the tree. Saw a couple does far off and passed on a bottom buck this morning. Hopefully a big nanny comes strolling by this afternoon.

Wanted to hunt the next ravine toward the back of my property but didn’t want to get wet so sitting about 200 yards on other side of hill in a blind I set up for my boys who tagged early season I figure if neighbors are out they might peak over hill
