I have a rare evening off and it didn't get as hot as was anticipated. Combine that with the pic I just got of a monster doe slipping through the food plot to bed, and I'm gonna try and knock down a slick head tonight. A little practice before things heat up can't hurt!

First time in a stand on the property since we bought it. I’m in a spot where pics show almost all daylight movement. As I feared, I bumped two off from under the stand when walking in here. I don’t know if any really good bucks showing up here yet but ya never know what’s around.

Just got settled in here for the night. East wind around 10mph. Standing corn to the east. Woods to the north. Standing beans to the west. Passed up 2 different bucks the first 2 sits in here. Got a fresh scrape at 20 yards.

Change of plans, turns out sis didn't have anything on her calendar tonight either. If anyone is shooting a doe tonight, it's her. I got a message back on the walk in from our local food pantry. They're accepting deer this year, so I believe we're on a mission for the Gospel Mission Food Pantry now

I’m up in Huron county ENE wind

A little sweet redemption for my spine shot the other night. Had a doe come in to 19 yards on a piece of public. Stopped her. All history boys! DIDNT GO 20. Literally. She’s laying dead at 36 yards. It was like she didn’t even know she was hit. Definitely 10 ringed her and she just started gushing blood and slowly walking away! Fell over dead about twenty seconds later. Pumped up, I am!! Gonna give this sit the rest of the night to get down… kinda curious to see if anymore activity comes through.
