10min staring contest in the dark at 50 yds with 4 does 2bjs after sitting down....the coffee is hot though.

Perfect weather in Athens. Couple blows at 200+ yards. Nothing seen yet. It’s a visual only game this morning…leaves are soaked, can’t hear any movement.
I was laying in bed trying to decide if I wanted to go out, while looking at the night's activity. He popped up on my screen, maybe his buddy will follow suit. So, here I am.....

I didn't go out this morning even tho I really wanted to. Trying to hunt smart the rest of the year and not just going to go. I picked the wrong stand last night again, I'll be there tonight and next weekend if need be.
4 does feeding in a wheat field at 100yds as i walked in i dont know how i saw them in the dark. i laid down. Head doe came up 50yds. Then 10 mins of staring at me. It was geting lighter i could tell my orange vest was very orange. dogs from the farm starting barking i assume at my truck parked 200yds away from their yard. I tried to ease a shell from my pocket and spooked them back into the woods not a full blown get the hell away spook. I could hear movement still in the woods away from the 4 that just entered but was stuck at my position. I tried to creep up 35yds. The moment i sat down on my butt pad 2 deer snorts ring out 100 yards away from the deer i could hear walking in the dark. My hunt was over before it started. the 4 came back out 150yds farther down around 8 but walked down the edge away from me. Sorry for short dyslexic posts.
Making that same plan right now myself. 6 weeks left and that's a long time considering almost everyone else is done hunting after the 4 mad weeks of the rut.
