Sat tonight…wind was blowing hard but it’s fun to hunt in the snow. Ended up seeing six does. Gotta dress warmer tomorrow…legs were numb walking out.

That cabelas cold weather gear is the best I have ever used. Never get cold
Saw deer movent pretty much from 3 till dark today. Back at it tomorrow.

Waited til daybreak to walk in truck said 2 degrees saw 1 doe walking in have no clue what I may have ran out of the woods. Man it was loud. Haven't heard any shots yet.

Got to KS last night. Here for their anterless firearm, to pull a couple lifelines down, and to deliver a thank you gift to the farmer and his wife. Hoping to take something home for the freezer. Can’t remember if I posted but I plugged a doe running full speed on opening day of Ohio gun doing a drive. A red dot on a 45-70 is a great combo. Set up in front of a round bale with it now. No clue what the late season movement is here but I have some form of a plan. Better than no plan. Good luck all.

It is 12 degrees here this morning. Can someone pull me out of my recliner and drag me away from this wood stove to clean the foot of snow from my driveway so I can go hunting? or shall I wait for spring gobbler...

The 130s 10 point that showed up after weekend gun season came in at last light. I had decided I was going to shoot him since he’s a stranger. So I did. The shot looked good…. High Double lung. After finding nothing last night and disappointed by what was on the arrow we backed out and went this morning. We followed his tracks for 500 yards. He ran all out the whole way. A few specks of blood on the snow the first 400. Then he cleared a gully and leaked out enough to maybe cover your hand. Then nothing to follow again as he was going onto a second property over. Apparently, I hit the void again. I always seem to find that spot. Sick to my stomach and done for the season. Good luck to those still going. Congrats to those who have been successful. Maybe I will be back to share some turkey videos.

Passed a nice 115 inch 10 this morning. Was gonna hunt there this afternoon but stuck to my original plan and came out to this bean field because one of the deer I was hunting was on the field at 12 so I know he's bedded in the neighbors. Need the wind to go sw like they said or I'll be screwed.
