Tucked in on some public. Had one watch me walk in close to the front of the public never ran. I just kept acting like I never seen her and she set still. Seen three last night. Hoping for some action in about an hour

Well no deer harmed and I think I may have found the sweet spot on public seen a total of 15 deer. Only three mature does and one little spike chasing a doe around. I believe no one goes back in that far to hunt cause it’s a drag of ya shoot one. But I’m going to invest in some wheels and I’m going to have some fun with it only 3 of them in range but they were yearlings. Good sir for the second sit of the year

Good evening in the deer woods. First deer was enough to make me look at it through the scope. He is a tad young but a really nice buck, world of potential l. It's like they know when they aren't a target! He came within 15 and gave every shot opportunity you could ever ask for.

You guys get to hunt a cold front, I get 65*. Before I could pull up my weapon a doe and 2 fawns took off behind me. This stand is in a great location but creaks and pops everytime you shift your weight. Good luck to anyone that’s out.

My buddy killed a slammer 8 last night right before dark . He said all he's seen is bachelor groups the last two weeks in our area . ( Stark)

I was all over your county today and seen deer everywhere this morning. Maybe morning’s is when to hunt. Especially over by prison.

Could be. @Bowhunter57 lives and hunts closer to that area than I do. I don't think they got hit by the EHD on the northern half of.the county like we did. Shawnee Township and Cridersville was decimated 3 seasons ago. We are still rebuilding.

And to be fair: I hunted where the wind allowed me to hunt safely. I think I was the fifth hunter in there this season. Maybe 10-15 acre woods. I really didn't think they would exit the corn before dark. Not with all the human intrusion. I still had a great night. Beautiful evening.

Out in the woods for the next week. My younger son is along for the weekend. Hopefully we get some meat for the freezer before he heads back to school. Plus, he can drag the deer instead of me

No EHD around the northern part of Allen County, at least that I'm aware of and all the deer around here look very healthy. I seen my first scrapes, this morning and there were licking branches too. I'm hoping he stops back to check his scrapes and brings his girlfriend. I'd like to fill another doe tag.

@Bowhunter57 that is where the main office is lots of deer in that area. Whitetail properties just listed the woods across from the office for sale.

Saw 6 doe and 3 bucks for the gun season opener down here. Still got the muzzleloader with me. Saw same 8 that was in here Thursday and 2 dinks. Big mature does at point blank. Might have cracked one if I had my bow. Good luck everyone.

Watched Buckeyes. Worked on race truck. Agreed I'd take the wife out in the 6-2 Chevy II. Right after that conversation the farmer pulled in to pull beans across the street. "Might" have nudged something out early. I'll never know now. Heading out with the Mrs.

First time out in over a week and only 3rd time out by myself with out the kids not expecting much but we have the only Beans still standing right now.
