Wildlife-congrats on the doe- hope u get another crack at him. I like reading ur write ups!

Appreciate it, thanks!

This was my second time I've encounter that buck with a weapon in my hand, however I could've only have shot him just the one time legally, which was yesterday, and I fouled it up, but this is his core area, his home and I do believe that I will encounter him again, that is if he goes on livin. I also believe this is not his first wound, meaning from either being hunted or hit by a car, that is why I think his rack is rather unique, from past injuries possibly. I've been following this deer for the past two years now that I've been hunting the place during early season, just over the last two.

Only rack I seen today was the 30 rack of lattes in the garage fridge that I successfully harvested. I'll be back at it hard tomorrow. Don't expect to see anything but you never know so I'll be there waiting . Hoping for a hail marry where one comes wondering over across the road from the neighbors woods. Good luck to those that'll be out , dress warm!

Well I made a tough decision I seen 3 really good bucks last night all within 200 yards of me but the gun season in ky was opening Saturday. I had plans with my buddy from tennesse to come down and hunt together but couldn't make my mind up after seeing those bucks. Woke up this morning to it down pouring and decided screw it I'm headed south. We both got in about 11 today went and checked another farm out and came back to get ready to hit the woods tonight. I moved a stand and got in it about 3 at 430 I look up to see a buck come down the hill and head to me. I looked at him thru the binos once and knew what deer it was he hadn't been on cam for a few days but I figured he was still close. 30 yard shot and 80 yards later I have my best out of state deer on the ground. I'll be loaded up headed back to Ohio in the morning to get back on the big ones I seen thursday.
