I went to Indiana today and took the rifle, looking to get a doe. Saw nothing for the first hour of light and then here came 3 doe from south and east of me. Got them to stop at 180 yards and the 300 win mag barked. Double lunged and the doe ran about 75 yards and piled up. I sat still for a while just enjoying the moment when a real nice buck came running out when he saw the other 2 doe standing near the fallen one. He ran right out to them and stood over my dead doe for a minute or 2. Then realized something wasn't right and ran back to the woods. He was a real nice looking 10 point. Here is a pic of the buck, if you look below him you can see my doe laying dead in the corn stalks.
