I seen they said 19000 deer shot Monday, they just pull the numbers out of their ass. We have had people on every end of knox and licking Counties and heard a total of about 45 shots for the first 2 days. I slept in this morning all the movement is at night with this full moon I've got 10 cams out here and 4 in ky and they all show no daytime activity it's crazy.

Headed in at 11:30 for some lunch, back at it now. I flipped thru last years "pew pew" thread to see how things compare. It was day #3, 4:38pm last year when things got started, so seeing 1 last night I'm ahead. Here deer deer deer deer...

I ascended the Stairway to Heaven to sit my favorite gun spot. Nice saddle in the ridge with great bedding E and W. My target buck has been most active in this area, so we'll see how it goes. He showed up here at 5:57P last night, so let's hope he's in a hurry today!

One died at our place tonight. Had both kids home from college and Mallory got to use her 350 legend for the first time. She put a nice shot on big doe at 80 yards.

One decent buck. Only a 1.5, but already has mass and a funky rack. I hope he stays in the neighborhood for a few years. Bumped a couple deer in the bottom on the way out, but they didn't blow. Was about as nice an evening as you can get.

Was looking at trail cam pics just now and if you look close we got a picture of Mallorys doe right when she shot it. Its the one at the top spinning around. Moment of impact. That was her 18th deer and she is 18 years old. Not a bad start!
