Kaydence and I will be out purely because it's opening day. After one deer and one deer only. She has to be out of the woods by 9, so if we turn one loose, it'll be worth it!

Multiple does all around eating acorns. They're laying everywhere after the storm yesterday! It was like walking on marbles coming in. We're on a mission for one deer and he was in the area yesterday around this time, but it's not the best weather for big buck movement. We shall see. Can only hunt until 9, then it's off to the local independent fair and a basketball game.

I’m in. Sitting under a bunch of mature oaks that are dumping piles of acorns in this wind. Cell cam had 2 mature does without fawns in here around 5:30 yesterday evening. Wind is perfect and the temp seems to be dropping. Good luck to anyone else out.

You should hunt more. I feel like you never hunt.

My son took his girlfriend out for her first deer hunt and scored on a nice deer. She got to see it go down with in 50yds of the stand . Couldn't be more proud of both of them and his patience.
