It feels a little different outside this morning for sure 
Getting ready to head back out to different blind where a # of nice rubs recently appeared. I know the big 8 was nearby there last night. My morning sits have been 3 hrs each last week & this week they're 4 hrs each. There was a smaller 8 nearby this am when that lone deer was out with me, but he never came my way & she ended up following him. I stayed till 11.
Debut hunt, so it warrants a treestand selfie. Feels good to be back at it!
Big ass bobcat just laid down on the main trail to groom. Not a care in the world.
We got to know one another after about 10 minutes of watching him groom and like his balls
Wind is right... why not?

Funny story...couple years ago I had a blind pretty deep in the woods near where this one is. I nailed these reflective tacks to the trees to guide me back through the dark with my red lense. I'd forgotten about them till this morning. I saw 3 in a row spaced out, then saw 2 pair off to the side. Thought to myself, I wanted to put up a couple pair as a joke but don’t remember doing it.... As I got closer...the 2 pair weren't tacks! They were deer and bolted! Totally had me fooled.
This was my 4th sit, skunks on all 4.

I’m in. First morning sit of the season. Hoping to catch some does heading back to bed from a private ag field. Wind is perfect and got in here and set up reasonably quiet. Gonna give it a few hours. 39° and a stiff breeze is a nice change from 80° lol
I'm on a rain delay. Weather wasn't doing anything before my shower, thundering & heavy rain afterwards. Another heavy bout moving in, so hopefully afterwards I'll get out .
I'm out. As soon as I typed the above, a doe walked by the house

Had a single doe skirt around me upwind. Just a touch further than I’d like to shoot a whitetail at. Did a little scouting and believe I have a decent plan for this evening.
