One more doe tag to fill while I'm up here, beautiful evening to sit for for a nanny.

Two unaccompanied minors are all that came thru.

I’m in. Feels weird hunting a prehung setup over a bait pile after doing so many hang and hunts and sitting on the ground on public. I have a pile of does showing up regularly during daylight here, and I’ve waited for the right conditions for a few weeks so here we are. First mature doe that presents an opportunity is gonna get it. Threading the needle a bit with this wind direction, but it should be ok.

I have a feeling a doe is in serious trouble

Wind is swirly, believe it or not. Pair of buttons and doe fawn came through but were nervous and must’ve gotten a whiff of me. Never spooked, just slowly browsed off. Surprised no nanny’s came in with them, but still have just shy of an hour to go. Fingers crossed.

Had 7 or 8 unantlered deer come in around 5. The same pair of buttons beat everyone to the corn, and kept all of the others away. Had a mature doe at 30, but I didn’t care to shoot through bullshit. I think I got decent video of the buttons on their hind legs a couple times kicking other deer. I think next time the buttons will NOT get a pass, I won’t tolerate that behavior at my corn pile
