Fun afternoon, got in, wind was hinky for an hour 1430-1540 then cleaned up, to the SE which is great for this bench. Four came in, two older does and two fawns, couldn't tell which old girl was bigger so I drew back on the one that acting... like an old doe lol. Stalking around looking at everything, nose in the air trying to root you out. 21 yds, when I drew back she took step from broadside to quartering away, worked it in there.

Late season does are fun but a PITA. Tagged out and on week 3 of momma in Hospice. Good and bad.

Going out with kid today. Plan is He shoots his buck,I pop a doe . He passed on a few does yesterday and a buck in the evening.
Deer been coming around early like 3 pm and between 8am and 930 am.
Have a few decent bucks showing up. By some of the pics I’ve got it seems they maybe in second rut.

That’s the plan Guess we will see what happens. Kids definitely ready to pull the trigger after passing well over 100 plus deer this season. He did miss a nice 10 in bow season and had a big one come in to 30 yards in last gun season. He never took the shot because it was behind some briars . That one really stung his ass. He told me he almost cried. I think he did. Guess we will see what happens.

Who has bamboo ? Eons ago, the old guy behind me transplanted bamboo & since then, it has grown like wildfire. Anyway, this past summer, I acquired new neighbors on that property, where one of my blinds sit. Somewhat younger couple & they graciously let me keep my blind & cams up. She likes deer hunting & this morning she had a shot & missed at a buck. Husband is working, so I helped her look, to be certain. 1st time I've been down in the back 40 in many years. So part is like a bamboo forest riddled with rubs......
